Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Course has a bit of all good things
Nice and fun Course. Good all through., greens are good. Not too long. Fairways are wide. Can be considered an "easy" course but it needs full focus on majority of the holes.
Staff is good. Course has a driving range. All good things.
One negative is that there is no club house. No place to buy food or drink. No beverage cart coming around. But, if you get a riding cart, you can ask for a cooler and ice and get your own beverages and food
Course in great shape
Course in great condition considering the hot weather we had in the last few weeks. Greens roll well and firm. The staff is great, the starter provided us with course guide. Definitely going back especially with the hot deal tee time.
My favorite local course
It’s hard to beat Quail Brook for overall value. The course is in great shape, the greens are the BEST I have seen in a long time- and I play a lot of courses. The staff is always great, it’s a very nice track. If you haven’t played at Quail Brook, you need to give it a try
Great Course
As a Monmouth County resident I’m spoiled with an excellent park system. But when I can’t get a tee time locally I always enjoy Quail Brook.
Great Time
Course was in good shape for January. The weather cooperated as well. Staff was extremely nice. A special shout out to the starter Max, who went above and beyond the call of duty 👍💥⛳.
Amazing day
Quail Brook is one of my favorite courses in NJ and to be able to play on December 30th and be warm, it was great. The course is in great shape and besides the fact that there were too many people out there, it was awesome
Always a great experience
This course was in better condition in the middle of December than most courses are at the peak of the golf season. They do a great job in every way. Id recommend this course to anyone all year long.
