Quail Brook Golf Course
About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Nice track
Fairways and greens in good shape, rough was thick and lost 4 balls in there
Great conditions
With the drought we’ve been having I was very happy to see how well kept this course is, Truly was a great outing, greens were receptive and fast and the rough were suprisinglu not super dry. Cant wait to be back!
Great Shape
The county has done an excellent job taking care of this course. Tee boxes, fairways, greens- all in great shape. Greens were really impressive- bring your flat stick game or you’re in trouble. A bit more/better sand in the bunkers is the only knock- not that they weren’t good, just could have been a bit better. Go play this course- you’ll be glad you did (and pay the extra $ to ride or you will be hurting afterwards)…
Bunkers
Sand traps had not been rake
We’re very hard, no loose sand at all
was like hitting off cart paths
GREAT
From the inside to the starter to the course, everything was great.
Bad overgrowth
Most of the holes are lined with rough and then overgrown grass areas, and grass areas are located in too many places alongside greens and elsewhere on the golf course. This growth is typically between shin-high and knee-high and is underlined with poison ivy. There is also a threat of deer ticks. Finding a ball in theseAreas is nearly impossible and very slow causing much delay in a round of golf.
Solid
First time playing QB in a couple of years.
Will be back. Course is in good shape.
Our 3 some was behind a slow 4 some so the pace of play could have been better.
The back was extremely slow,
Thursday afternoon league pace killer
Played on Thursday afternoon and unfortunately was behind a golf league. 3 hours front 9, but cruised through the back. Don’t book Thursday late.
