Cascades Golf Course
About
Cascades Golf Club is one of two nine-hole courses offered by Crystal Springs Resort, which offers four other courses. Cascades is the newest of all the courses. It was designed by Roger Rulewich, who designed two of the resort's most popular golf courses, Ballyowen and Wild Turkey. The other nine-hole course, Minerals, has been ranked as one of the top 12 short courses in the country, but Cascades still manages to hold its own. The course offers a fair amount of challenge but the main appeal is its playability. Cascades Golf Club is mostly open with a few strategically placed bunkers coming into play. There is also the occasional water hazard. The golf course is gentle enough for beginners but provides a quick but fun round for more advanced golfers.

Nice 9-Hole course- good to get some practice in!
This is a fairly simple course that has some nice fairway bunkers and the greens are kept pretty well. The fairways are actually quite nice. The roof is mostly tall grass… All in all the fairways are very wide and the pace of play was decent. It’s a great course to get out and practice your long and short game lot of wide-open fairways a lot of decently long par fours a couple par fives. Very enjoyable day.
Great value
Amazing inexpensive to play. Course is always in great shape. My only negative is when you finish nine and are looking to continue, the backup on the first tee can be an issue. But overall a great value.
Very Good course for practice
Good layout course, usually cascade is very nice and clean, but today few fairways grass is terrible have a lot of weeds also green is still have a lot maintenance of small holes on the green. Maybe after end of May course will be better conditions.
Great nine holer
Don’t be fooled this is a big boys course. Challenging shots on every hole. Elevation changes. Great combo of long short and medium sized holes. Big green complexes and plenty of hazzards to avoid. I actually like the idea that you go around twice and get a second chance to master the challenges the course presents.
Fantastic
4th of July player with 3 buddies. Had an absolutely wonderful time. Pace was slow but was a holiday.
Had great time and great price. The course is in great shape !
Cart path only again
Booked this round 3 days in advance, No word that it was cart path only for the last few days Including today. Pace of play was over 5 hours for a course that normally takes 3.75 hours.. Instead of roping off the wet areas they pull the cart path only rule. Additionally they let golf pro teachers with students in front of us at the turn,
Also, the usual starter, all he talks about is how he reprimands careless golfers for driving on the course, I must have heard the "I caught a guy doing donuts on the fairway a took his keys away (apparently leaving the golfer stranded) story at least 20 times. One day it was cart path only again and he actually acused us of driving on the course because we played the round too fast. Taking a break form this place for the remainder of the year.
Solid Nine Holes
The first hole is probably the best/most strategic Rulewich designed hole I've ever played. Just an outstanding hole. Great variety throughout the course. Has a par 5 that can be reached in 2 and one that's brutish long. Short and long par 3s. Good variety in the 4s. The second hole seems a bit too narrow for the shot required off the tee and the length of the hole. Course has a very "big" feel, especially on the first 5 holes where it is pretty much wide open. Certainly top quality and not one to be missed.
Surprisingly Challenging
No mercy if you leave the fairway. Greens in good shape for this time of year. Great value at 35, but normal rate is 50. Not worth that.
good vale
enjoyed our round at Cascades.Challenging course in great shape.
Cascades play
The greens on all the holes were impossible to navigate due to all the sand used to dry them. Otherwise, it was OK.
