Situated midway between Belvidere and Oxford, Apple Mountain Golf & Country Club has been recognized as one of New Jersey's must-play courses. The course was built on an apple orchard, providing fragrant apple blossoms in the spring and colorful foliage in the fall. The unique design was built on a hillside, which in itself presents many challenges to golfers. The dramatic elevation changes from pin to green present difficult lies on the approach shot. There is no sand on the golf course, but with water on 11 holes, and demanding greens, sand traps will hardly be missed. A local magazine dubbed Apple Mountain Golf & Country Club's signature 17th hole one of the most perfect in the state. This par-6 hole was once the site of a ski slope. The hole doglegs down a mountain with treacherously positioned trees along the right.

Great course for the money
Enjoyed playing this course. Great views ,course in good shape staff very friendly. Would recommend playing this course. A great place to play a round of golf
great course but no bunker and tee off green
very good course play with family.
great for the money
course needs some work. bunkers and cart paths are not up to par. challenging because of slope of fairways and difficulty holding greens with approach
Great start to the season.
This was a really nice course with spectacular views.
The friendliness of the pro shop staff person was a welcoming feeling when playing so far from home. I would recommend this course to any golfer travelling in this area!
The course was only in fair condition, but that's par for this time of year.
The greens were in good condition but some of the fairways were so-so. Florescent green and yellow balls were easier to find against the brownish-green fairways. White balls especially when covered with some mud were more difficult to see.
Revisit
Hadn't played this course in over 20 years. They did a great job of clearing leaves for this time of the year. Greens rolled nice. Staff very helpful & friendly. Will
be back. Great views from elevated tees! 5 hour round!
A nightmare/ couldnt finish soon enogh
if life me and you play for the first time good luck finding your next tee they aren't marked,
THIS COURSE HAS BEUTIFUL FEATURES
Everything was great, but one thing is too many leaves to find ball at the Fall season as usual as the other courses.
Apple Picking
I enjoyed my 9 holes, greens are in great shape as is the rest of the course
Apples are really sweet too
This course is a well maintained but challenging course
Very challenging well maintained course. The staff is friendly and the pace of play is better than most. The scenery is an added bonus!
Great course for the price
Amazing views, a lot of elevation change but not overly challenging .....fairways aren't much to write home about but the greens rolled beautifully.
Tip: #15 plays 2 clubs shorter than the yardage reads
NICE COURSE !
Over all it's a nice course but the fairways are a little RATTY . The greens were GORGEOUS THOUGH SO THAT MADE UP FOR IT !
Don't collect $200 after passing GO
We were a threesome playing this course for the first time. With the weather threatening rain you would think the course would attach the rain protection to the carts, didn't happen. My friends and I were looking forward to playing this course and we were disappointed after the first hole. It appears the management is attempting to sell this property and has a hands off approach to maintenance and upkeep. This is a SPECTACULAR piece of property and the views and challenges of playing a golf course cut into a mountain are rare. With so much potential, poor course maintenance will leave you disappointed. The staff were all friendly but do not waste your time playing here. Two of us drove from Westchester, NY and the other from Tom's River, NJ. This is a good course for players who are new to the game or parents taking their children out to introduce them to the game. The tee boxes had crab grass growing all over the place. The fairways and the rough were indistinguishable, it's hard to tell where the fairway ends and the rough begins(one reviewer said this) The food was below average, I had a chicken ceasar wrap which I could've waited and ate at the local gas station instead. One friend had the chicken marsala with penne and it was covered with sauce entirely. I can't remember what my other friend ordered as I was ready to leave after the first bite. The best part of driving an hour and 20 minutes was the gas was $1.97 for regular. This course needs a partner to dump some money into this place to make it what it can be. We paid $30 each including taxes and the cart. If this course was better maintained, I would easily pay $70 for a round on the weekend because I believe it to be worth that much for a weekend round.
Most of course condition was good.
Compare to the rate, fairway and green conditions were pretty good.
Views are great, but...
Went as a single and was paired up with 2 other singles. Several holes have great views but the course itself needs some work. The fairways are predominantly weeds so accuracy off the tees isn't rewarded. The greens are in good shape, very undulating and challenging. Tee boxes need some work although they have more grass than the fairways. Overall, a good experience for my first time but playing from weeds after hitting good tee shots was frustrating.
Hot & Humid
Greens in Great condition, domed and very fast! Many up-hill lies, using + 1- 2 clubs
Ehhhh
Fairways look they haven't been mowed in 5 days more like rough.
Uninteresting course overall a couple of holes feature water hazard
No sand traps anywhere.
95 degree/70 percent humidity weather and no water coolers anywhere
I guess for the price it was ok (less than 35 walking) I wouldn't pay more than 40 with cart
Big let down
I'm not sure where to begin with this. I walked on as a single which they fit me in right away. The over all pace was good for a HOT 92 degree Sunday afternoon. The course plays easy lots of up and downs. The Tee Boxes did not look like they had been cut in a week and was at least 3 inch tall. The fairways were just OK. Too much weeds not enough grass. The greens were surprisingly fine with the occasional spot of weed growth. My biggest complaint would be that there is no Water Coolers on the course for the Players. It was 92 degrees out with full sun. I never saw anyone with a "beer cart". When I told this to the cart attendant I was giving the answer that the Ranger was out there driving the cart. I told them again that I never saw anyone and the point was to have water coolers set up.
The course views are beautiful! they really need to get this place up to PAR.
Nice day with our sons
