Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

This course is in great shape and cheap compared to other places around!
This course is in great shape despite the fact we haven’t had rain (except a quick shower Friday) in over a month! The staff was great, range was running, chipping putting green was open…
I have seen a lot of complaining about this course in the reviews. This course is $60+/- a few bucks per person. Other courses of comparable quality in the area $110-150/ pp.
I have zero complaints the course is in great shape, greens and fairways cut and rolled. Greens were slow as expected because it was a mid day round in a drought. But no burnt spots all sand bunkers were raked and in beautiful shape.
A great course for the money
We have played this course many times before, but each time we find it just as much a challenge! We find the staff friendly and helpful and each time the amenities are improving. The course itself wasn't in bad shape and a lot of improvements are being done. In a couple of weeks this course will be in really great shape. Tee boxes and greens are coming in nicely with one temporary greening place! The course is challenging enough for the average golfer as well for the near-to-be pro!
What A Let Down - Didn't Even Play
Showed up at 10:10 for a 10:50 tee time. I paid for my green fees at the counter and headed out to check in with the starter then headed to chip and putt before my round. About 10:35 I go i=over to the starter and asked who else I'd be playing with which is when he told me they had a 2 hour frost delay and I'd be waiting a while for my time. I told him I was a single so if there was a no show, I could go earlier, then walked away. no more than two minutes later, I watched the starter send out a walk on with a threesome and the next tee time had three and he sent them out as three! I waited another 30 minutes and when he sent out another threesome, I went inside to get a refund.
The inside staff was completely understanding of my disgust in what happened and geve ne a refund without question and offered their apologies.
The starter that was working this day did nothing but check off his printout and talk with friends that showed up to play this day. Did nothing to manage the start or the players waiting... I watched him for 20 minutes to see how he was handling the delay and it was with a "no care" attitude. Starter needs a check up on customer service and less focus on his friends.
I like the coarse (play here 1-2 times per month) but if this happens again, I have my choice of coarses in the area to play.
Thank you
It is a course that can be enjoyed in winter in New Jersey and is well-maintained even in winter. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is good.
Condition, of course, was unbelievable for this time of year
Latest Update
A fair amount of work being done… they don’t advertise or even tell you when you check in… how about telling people there are temp greens? Also, like many places, Ranger needs to be on resent… we had a group of SIX in front of us for 15 holes… never saw a Ranger…
Course was in good condition considering the time of the year.. Greens were very good and fast.
nice afternoon with two other gentlemen. I would recommend this course.
Under Repair
Course has construction going on. A majority of sand traps are being repaired as well as certain greens. I would recommend another course until the work is completed.
Unde normal conditions this course is great.
