Harbor Pines Golf Club offers a secluded, peaceful round just south of Atlantic City

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Although it is just a few minutes outside of Atlantic City, Harbor Pines Golf Club is tucked away amongst pristine pinelands, lending a secluded and peaceful atmosphere to your round.

Preserving the beautiful natural terrain was a major priority during the construction of the course. This effort was recognized by Audubon International, which designated Harbor Pines as one of only 16 Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries in New Jersey.

The golf course is straightforward with no gimmicks, offering wide-open fairways and large, undulating greens. There is plenty of room throughout with trees sheltering most of the holes, which makes it feel as though you're playing in an amphitheater.

Seventeen acres of water come into play, but there are only two forced carries. Most of the water hazards run laterally along the fairways to provide a scenic element as well as a fair test. While Harbor Pines Golf Club has several challenges in store, it is not overwhelming for the average golfer. Five sets of tees make it even more accessible.
