A Decent, Cheap Course
For the price, it's tough to beat, but you definitely get what you pay for. This is a 9-hole course that you play twice for a round of 18. There are no Par 5's. The course isn't maintained well, but you can't expect a well-kept course at the rates they go by. Also, there are no food/drink carts, everything must be purchased at the clubhouse. And there is no actual food to buy, just chips, power bars and $4 beers. One more thing, a black bear did cross our path during our round on the hole with the water hazard, in case that concerns you.
very challenging
loved the course set up to make you think, very good condition
Really cheap course
We went went $15 and played 18 holes. I would not pay anymore than that. It was in poor condition, and there are kids pins on the greens. EXTREMELY EASY COURSE!
Bang For Your Buck
You're going have to have a hard time finding a course thats a better value with this one. Course was in good shape except for the bunkers which where very hard and riddled with rocks and puddles (Had just rained ALOT in days before). Besides that the course was great and the staff was very nice.
Good conditions and pace of play was excellent!
Nice course good people! Enjoyed the fact it's family friendly.
Not bad for the money
Par 62 gives you a good test of your short game but there's still opportunities to use the driver on the longer holes.
Some strange going ons! Adult supervision needed!
First off let me say that I have enjoyed this course for many years. The layout is interesting and it it pretty well maintained. The back tees are a tough but fair and the staff is always friendly.
My wife and I did see some strange things when we last played however. We ran into a group of 4 carts with 5 golfers trying to learn the game of golf. At the tee, several attempted swings were taken until the balls were finally struck. Afterwards a discussion started to try to improve the beginners chances of advancing the ball more then 40 yards the next time they hit. I thought for sure that we were part of a TV show that films people in crazy circumstances! After waiting for 25 min to tee off we skipped a hole and continued our round. After completing the 9th hole we arrived again at the first to yet another interesting site. 6 golf carts parked at the 150 yard mark with 8 teenage golfers ready to hit into the green. Not wanting to play behind a eightsome, we passed them as they waved us goodbye and drove on to the 11th hole. So our round was only 16 holes long .But we now understood why the course had so many great deals on GolfNow.com! They really need a ranger on this course.
Also keep a watch out for black bears. We saw one cross the 7th fairway! Hackers and teen eightsomes and bears, OH MY!
Short sweet and challenging with very scenic views.
If you don't mind zero par fives this course is for you. Great mix of holes. Small creek passes through most holes. First hole narrow treelined and up hill, Very challenging.
Fun course geared for beginers and families.
Two flags on each green, one regular size and one oversized. Cart paths are getting rough and need repair. Watch out for bears between holes 1 and 2 when driving through the woods.
Great executive course
Played here three days in a row. Great 9 hole course for beginners or skilled players looking for a quick round.
Course was recently aerated but still a great option. The course had some challenging holes which provided good variety to the game.
Good value and not sure whether fees normally include cart rental.
Other players on the course were friendly as well.
Beverages and snacks must be purchased from clubhouse in advance. You will not get a visit from a drink cart on the course.
Overall highly pleasant golf experience for a couple of hours.
Course conditions were poor
It's been a few years since I have played there so I was surprised that the course was in such bad shape. There is lots of garbage laying around along side the cart paths and in the woods. Lots of non golfers just walking around walking dogs, kids on skate boards walkers etc. very disappointed I will not go back.
Great Senior Course, without Senior Tees
It a RTJ Course,
What could be Wrong.
needs some sand in the Bunkers, Greens were in great shape.
Better Yardage markers.
good Quick Round.
Need to educate Players about Slow Play, Needs Beverage Cart, And Rangers.
great fun
We staggered our play from the blue tees on the front and white on the back. It was great for practice and actually the greens were very hard to read, making the putts interesting. We would definitely play it again
not family friendly as advertised
Course is suppose to be family friendly
. It is not. Yes there are forward tees but the course is too difficult for kids. Too many carries over water for young players.my . It tookmy husband and I 2 hours to play nine holes because of slow play.
Great course for the price. Well maintained
Minerals is a great course for the price. It is a nine hole course that you play twice. I have never had to wait to start and have not had any problems with slow players. You will occasionally see a black bear stroll across the fairway. That is just part of playing golf in North Jersey. The course is in good shape and the greens are well maintained. If you are looking for a fun round of golf at a good price, I would recommend playing Minerals.
9 hole day
Great course for the money. Rain in the morning but the course held up well
Rainy day
Even on a rainy day such as yesterday we had a great time and the staff were great!
you can use this course to learn all differnt lyes sidehills
the course is in fair cond. it needs more grass in fairways. the greens are in good shape. it is a resort course so play is slow.
