Nice course, fun round, lots of challenging holes. Just a little expensive for out of county residents at $60/round but a fun 18
This course is in terrible condition
Fairways are like hitting out of rough, tee boxes have been lawned in weeks. Just overall terrible course.

Please cut the Grass/Get rid of the Geese
The course is in overall GOOD shape. However, the county needs to get rid of the Geese on the first 6 holes. SERIOUSLY. Call the Geese Police.
In addition, please cut the grass a little shorter. The rough should be called a HIGH rough. Mow it shorter please. Putting greens are good and well maintained.
County course and a great value if a county member.

Fun Track - Beverage Please!!!
I enjoyed playing this course. Requires you to make conscious shots from tee to green. Greens were a tad slower than expected given the good conditions they were in.
Main call out is major lack of amenities. Golfing in 90° plus weather with no beverage cart circulating the course (now legally allowed) was quite the struggle.

Beautiful day, horrible condition!!
Very disappointed at golfnow because you didn’t mention anywhere the course was closing at 2:30 p.m!!!!
I booked 11:30 am so of course i only got to play about half the round,!!!!
Th green was temporary and there were geese poofs everywhere!

nice for early season
played on march 8, so it's forgivable that greens were not in shape. also, all players hit from women's tees, so you didn't get to see the full potential of each hole. that said, any kind of decent golf on march 8 can only be a plus, and this was certainly pleasant. i bet it's a really good course when the season has truly begun.

Soggy Mess
Course was so wet the tees just sank into the ground. Got tired of plodding around with wet shoes and socks so quit after 11 holes. All temporary greens. Almost not worth the $20.

Expensive for the experience
The course wasnt maintained to the extent that I would have expected for the price. A lot of the holes had dry patches of grass and some of the grass needed mowing. There were no amenities and no drinks cart. The pace of play was nice and the holes weren’t too challenging which was nice.

Beware of prices
The round was booked through Golfnow for $50 dollar per player which included a cart. Upon arrival at the course I confirmed my tee time and was told I had to pay an additional $32 for a gas cart. When I told the staff member that the price on Golfnow included the cart they proceeded to tell me that they knew nothing about that and to their knowledge the cart wasn’t included. The first couple of holes were not maintained to well but after that the course was in solid shape. The layout of the course has always been great in my opinion. The cart bridge which takes you from the tee box on the 5th hole to the fairway needs to be replaced. It’s only a matter of time before that bridge collapses and someone drives a cart into the water. The pace of play was very slow due to the heavy traffic. If they didn’t charge the additional $32 dollars for a cart I would recommend playing here but the course simply isn’t worth the $66 per player fee

Nice course some very nice holes no amenities and pace of play a little slow could cut down rough a little hard to find balls that are just off fairway

Very poor
My review was not informative enough for Bergen county staff members to understand. Act as if they don’t know the course is in terrible shape .
To be clear because I have read other reviews. Winter golf is not an excuse to have terrible course conditions. If it is that bad out on the course it should be closed until conditions , geese droppings are picked up & water recedes
Upon arrival I was told the EVERY HOLE is temporary greens and tee boxes . When I asked why every hole , because I play other courses in the area & none of temp greens or tee boxes , staff member replied “ that’s how we do things around here !”
Also was told the course will close by 3 pm and will have to make our way in at 2:30 - new to me....suns still out but not golf can be played .. all other course open till 4:45
I’m here to golf so I go and try to enjoy the day but didn’t know the course was covereddddd in geese droppings .
Zero maintenance on temp greens had to use me putter to create a lane for ball to go through droppings .
I have played OP before and it was never this bad. Course screams “I don’t care”
I am a bergen county golf member and leave to play in Morris or Hudson county golf systems.
Bottom line
1.rude staff
2. Course conditions terrible
3. Temp greens and Tee boxes on every hole
4. Geese droppings unbearable
5. Course not walkable because of droppings
6. Cart path and actual greens covered in geese droppings ( not trying to up keep the important greens )
Why would anyone return when there are better options in the area or shirt drive away for a decent round of golf
