West/North Course at Sand Barrens Golf ClubLocated along the Cape May shore just south of Atlantic City, Sand Barrens Golf Club boasts 27 holes of championship golf. The holes are divided into three unique nines that provide three different 18-hole combinations. When deciding which course to play it's useful to remember that South is the most scenic, North is most challenging, and West is the local favorite. The West course is characterized by the abundance of sand. The golf course requires several carries over deep, sprawling waste bunkers as well as careful maneuvering around numerous greenside bunkers. The layout features large, sloping greens and tree-lined fairways that offer ample landing areas off the tee. The West nine is particularly known for its par-4 eighth hole, which is considered to be the Sand Barrens Golf Club's best. This tricky dogleg left requires a long and accurate tee shot in order to hit the large green.
