Sandbox greens and fairways. No communication
Great course to play however I am disappointed with the lack of communication regarding sanding of the greens and fairways. The greens and fairways were heavily sanded and the course was charged full price and there was no indication of such.
Nice Course but getting pricey.
The course is maintained decently for one owned by the township. My only issue is the cost to play is getting way out of hand. $95.00 for weekend play and the membership that was increased just recently is rumored to be increased again.
Nice course, terrible pace of play
Very nice course. Nice layout, absolutely terrible pace of play. Starter rushed groups out early which ended up in 6 carts waiting at multiple holes to hit tee shots. Called the clubhouse to alert them of this issue, they said someone would be right out, nobody ever came. Didn’t end up being able to finish our round. Really a shame, because it is a nice course, but won’t be back any time soon.
Frost Delayed start
We had signed up for 18 but with a 2 hr. (Our time was before 8) frost delay, we asked to get it switched to a 9 hole round. The Pro Shop person said no problem and we waited our turn. Other than having a couple of leaf ball searches, we had a great time.
The Marco’s restaurant afterwards was great too.
Solid public course
Course is in great shape. Some the pin placements were to tough for the fast greens. Of of the better public courses in the area.
SOME GREENS WERE IMPOSSIBLE TO PUT ON TO FAST AND PIN PLACEMENT ON A SLOPE.
nice course awful pace of play
the course is in great condition. fairways, tee boxes, and greens were all well kept. staff was friendly as well. however the pace of play was awful. 5 hour+ round. And i’m not one of those guys that expects to play a three hour round every time but 5 hours is a little outrageous. I’m assuming they don’t have any rangers despite having ranger carts because i didn’t see a single one all round. and according to the man i was booked with this is common occurrence for this course. with some enforcement on pace of play the course would be great however i can’t see myself returning just for the pace of play but otherwise the course is great.
Windy sunday
Alway good place play 4.5 hours which good for here Eagle played at 4:30 so think everyone moved along good
Nice Day Good Deal
Taking advantage of rare warm October weather. The course was in good shape. Enjoyed play with three others I never met before. A few too many leaves for my off fairway game, but only lost a few balls and had a good time.
Difficult greens
I have always liked Pennsauken, but the greens on several holes had the pin placement in difficult spots, that were unreasonable. Hit the green. Ball rolls back off front. Chip back on, same thing.
Jimbo
Played with an extra guy named Jim, guy was lights out and almost dunked a hole in one, hit the pin, incredible vibes all around
Play at another course
My friend invited me to play here again and I reluctantly agreed even though I’ve had numerous bad experiences with this course. Why are the bunkers just mud pits that you can’t even hit out of? The bunkers is one thing but what ruins this course is the pin placement on about half the holes. They set their pins in the middle of ridiculous down slopes. If you don’t make your putt on the first try it’s rolling at least 10-15 feet by regardless of how you strike the ball and a lot of times just rolling off the green. Save your money, play elsewhere like Ramblewood, Indian Springs, or Golden Pheasant.
Pennsauken Golf Course
Played 8/31, at 1pm, and took just over 5 HOURS!
This is unacceptable, IMO, just pushed players out, back2back, maybe squeezed and few between times, IDK, but took away all the fun!
Do better Pennsauken, maybe have a marshall out there.
