White/Red at Ramblewood Country Club
About
Ramblewood Country Club is one of the Delaware Valley's most popular golfing destinations. There are 27 holes of championship golf available, which are divided into three nines called the Red, White, and Blue. With three 18-hole combinations, there is plenty of variety. The White/Red golf course is the original 18 holes when the club first opened in 1962. The Blue nine was added a decade later. The two nines are more similar in design and character than the Blue, which is tighter and routed through mature pine forests. Throughout the golf course you'll find large, subtly undulating greens that are guarded by strategically placed bunkers. Water has a prominent presence throughout. There are forced carries over water on 12 holes. The forgiving fairways with their generous landing areas provide some respite.

First Timer
Course is in excellent condition. People were very friendly..
Incredibly slow
From 4 o’clock until 7:45 we got thru 11 holes. No one was on course monitoring the pace of play. Absolutely miserable
In good shape considering the weather
Course was fine and had some of the same issues all the local courses seem to have due to lack of rain. A few dry spots and harder than expected traps. Greens were in good shape as were the tee boxes.
The course is nice but they had an outing booked and failed to mention once we arrived that we would be playing the same nine holes twice becuase of it. Then the second time around they still booked tee times in the afternoon on those 9 holes. Waited almost 20 mins to tee off the second 9 and in total took over 5 hours to play because the course wanted to get greedy and overbook
Back on the GolfNow App
It was nice to get back on Ramblewood. The course was in good shape. Greens were really smooth and very flat. Which is nice for a change. I would give the Staff a 5 star rating but there is always someone in the Proshop that wants to answer you like it is the first time you were ever in one. Don’t let that scare you away, play it from the back for the best experience.
Great Conditions
The team has done a great job upgrading and maintaining course. Tee boxes bunkers and greens are all in great shape. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.
Priced too high for current conditions
My wife and I went to visit our grandkids in NJ, and my wife suggested taking my clubs and going to play golf on Saturday. Who was I to say no?
One of the few places that had tee times available by the time I looked was Ramblewood. The staff was very friendly.
One of the first things I noticed was that the practice green appeared to have been aerated at least twice in the last month. The holes were not healed, and while most were sand filled, many were not. That made for a bumpy green. Of course, all the rest of the greens were the same way.
Out on the course (Blue/White) I encountered at least 2 holes that had temporary tees due to construction in progress of new tee areas. In addition, many of the tee boxes it was difficult to find a level place to tee up.
I enjoyed the layout. The course was otherwise in okay shape, but not great. For early season, that is what I would expect.
My biggest complaint is charging full regular price for a course with aerated greens and temporary tees. There should have been a discount and a warning that those conditions existed.
