Ramblewood Country Club is one of the Delaware Valley's must-play golf destinations. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf, which means there are three different 18-hole combinations to choose from. The holes are divided into the Red, White, and Blue nines. The White/Blue Course begins with one of the original nines. The front half of the golf course has large greens with subtle but tricky undulations. There are also strategically placed bunkers and water coming into play throughout. You can expect some challenging holes, including a few forced carries over water, but the course is tempered by forgiving fairways that have generous landing areas. The back nine is much tighter than the front with mature pine trees framing most of the holes. Course management is the key to doing well on Ramblewood's Blue nine.

First time playing here

Was in the area visiting family and this course was recommended by another golfer. Course was quite wet due to heavy recent rain and course conditions were mediocre, and not just because of the rain. The staff was friendly, the pace of play was fine, but the layout on the White nine is a bore, no character at all. The Blue nine was far more interesting with good design use of elevation changes. Course seems to be heavily outing focused; not a serious golfer’s course in my view.

Just OK

This being a Jawarski owned club I expected a little more than what it was. Greens were in good shape but definitely running more toward the slow end. Quite a lot of bare spots on the grass around the greens and in some fairways,

Always too crowded

you would think that 27 holes would allow a good pace for golf here, but not the case here. The first 9 was average pace, but as soon as we made the turn for back 9 there was 4 cart backup at both set of tee's, we decided we did not want a 5 hour round so quit. We gave ourselves over 30 minutes before our tee time and ordered burgers first, there was not many people eating at the time and after 30 minutes of waiting we said to put it in to go containers and we would eat on course, which was not easy as not napkins or utensils were provided.

Great Conditions

First time here. Played the Red to Blue setup of the course from the whites. Greens are in fantastic condition with a great roll, decent speed, and true break. Fairways are also in great condition. The Red 9 is more wide open so you can bomb it and the Blue 9 is tighter. Some holes on each 9 require strategy off the tee due to ponds or streams that come into play. Overall the fairways have generous landing areas. If you hit fairways this course will reward you. The rough is long from lots of rain and required at least a club more if not 2. Most greens are sloped back to front so staying below the hole is helpful. Overall a very pleasurable round.

Ranblewood

A well maintained good course, with friendly staff. Was worth the long hike from Monroe. I will travel again for the bright price.

Better than is was but could be more

I used to live in the area and played Ramblewood quite a bit from 2012-2014. For a public course wedged in a South Jersey neighborhood having 27 holes is helpful in alleviating some crowding and helping pace of play. Since being taken over by Jaws the bar, parts of the course, and a few other aspects have gotten a much needed refresh. The bottom line is Ramblewood is an uninspired layout. Most of the fairways are huge and offer little to no trouble (fairway bunkers are either non-existent or easily avoidable). The course plays pretty short from the middle tees though the par 3s all jump up to around 200 yards from the back (we played white and blue). If you're looking from beauty or strategy in your golf Ramblewood isn't the spot, but if you're just looking for a convenient round or to get a little practice in RW is perfect. The work done by Jaworski is clear, lots of brush and over grown trees have been removed or trimmed bringing back some of the course's lines. Also the green were considerably better (even after the horrendous winter) than they were when I frequented RW.

Ehh

I drove over an hour to meet a friend there and expected to warm up at the driving range. Negative, there's no range. The course is super short from white and most par 4 require nothing more than a 4 iron to get well inside the 150 marker. The blue tees are more like it but every par 3 is over 200 yards from them so that was kinda eh to me as well, especially in 42 degrees and 15+mph winds. Greens are nice, small and undulating. NOT A RAKE IN SIGHT for any bunker on WHOLE COURSE. Huhhhh...?? Maybe it was rake inventory day...? The Blue 9 is amongst apartment complexes that remind you of 1970 as well as the club house. Red 9 was more scenic w normal houses n didn't seem like u were playing amongst the urbanites. I like this Jaws course better than Valleybrook as it has a way better lay out, but it's not even close to quality of Blue Heron Pines. Just an ehh course....

Frozen tundra

Nice layout and course. A little cold out there on day of golfing but just wanted to get out and swing. Tee boxes and some greens were slightly frozen but we had a good time. Would like to play it when it's warmer.

Excellent Round at Ramblewood

The course at Ramblewood is just right for a player like myself who is new to the game. 27 holes offer varying opportunities, for both the intermediate and accomplished golfer.
The staff is very accommodating, in particular, Asst. Pro Nick G., who corrected flaws in my swing with a well priced lesson package.
I intend to join Ramblewood next season as a result of the many pleasant experiences there, and would recommend the same for anyone looking for a plan that fits their needs.

Walked

Poor time management of players on course.

Directed to play blue to white. When I got to the white tee to begin the second nine, there was a foursome on the tee apparently beginning their round and several other foursomes in front of them, NOT from the blue course.
The second nine was tediously slow, waiting on every hole, groups of people jumping around ahead of each other. Apparently after speaking to the foursome in front of me, the backup was due to the end of a best ball outing in which there best ball was not very good. DON’t book times if you can't Control tournament pace of play. It’s nor fair to the other on the course.

outing central

I realize this is not a daily thing but the day I was there is was golf outing central. I can't rate pace of play because of that. The White nine was nice and looks similar to the Red nine. The holes were ok but got the feeling I was playing in someones backyard. When we turned to the blue nine it was a totally different feel. It had a more traditional look and feel and the holes seems to have more character. It was tighter than the other part of the course but it wasn't so tight that it was unfair. I really liked the Blue nine. I took a few photos on my phone but haven't put them into computer. Tough photo shoot on many holes with houses always in background. Need time to move around to put them out of the photos.

Ramblewood is improving

The course is improving since the Jaworski organization has taken it over. They started with the facilities so that more revenue could come from the bar, restaurant and catering events. That has been a major improvement. The couse is slowly improving but it is noticible.

Time well spent

Played Red followed by Blue tracks, instead of planned Red & White. White was closed following a day of steady rain the day before. Ground is saturated, and we played cart path only; resulting in a whole lotta walking. This course is a friendly one, as was the staff. The starter was juggling start times due to White 9 being closed for the day, but was still polite and accommodating. Pace was good, despite all the walking from cart paths. Although the bunkers were soaked, I could tell they're normally well-kept. A good course to develop your game. Greens were soft, well-kept, medium to large, not many ball marks, and easy to putt. Plenty of greenside bunkers to hone your sand skills. Hazards and OB were well marked, as were the fairways. Although individual holes are by and large unmemorable, the positive overall experience definitely is. A good video course tour is on their facebook page. Only negative I have is there is no driving range. My first trip to a Jaworski property, and won't be the last.

Loved it, we played the Red and White combo. They were using Blue for players just playing 9 holes.
I am far fro being a golfer, but had a good time, and a good guide, for this outing. I will definitely play it again.

Decent place to play...

3 9-hole courses. We played on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded so pace of play not an issue. It's definitely not as nice as Downingtown CC (another Jaws course) so could only give this a 3 star. The fairways had nice turf, but were kind of torn up in some areas. No real character on two 9s that we played. A lot of similar and unmemorable holes. Not a bad round, but nothing all that special either though I did enjoy the par 3's. Good variety on distances on those. A couple times we had to wait on random people (not golfers) on the course. Once 2 people on bicycles rode across the fairway after 3 out of the 4 of hit of us our tee shots. Really? How does that even happen?
