Lake/Quarry at Great Gorge Country ClubGreat Gorge County Club boasts three unique nines: Lakeside, Quarryside, and Railside; that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Opened in 1970, the club has garnered quite a reputation over the years for being one of New Jersey's best public golf courses. The Lakeside/Quarryside combination puts together the nine with the most water and the most demanding nine. The front nine sprawls across rolling terrain that is covered with sparkling blue lakes and mature trees. The Quarryside is a formidable test. The layout takes the elevation changes even further, playing through rocky outcroppings and dramatic undulations. Like the first half of the golf course, the last nine has a lot of water. The entire course is sprinkled with strategically placed bunkers that make the course even more challenging.
