Mays Landing Golf Club
About
Former president of the PGA of America, Leo Fraser, designed the 18-hole public course at the Mays Landing Golf Club with both advanced and beginning golfers in mind. Touted as the "best birdie for the buck," the Mays Landing golf course provides a great value for all golfers. The course was meticulously designed over 175 acres of beautiful pineland with scenic tree-lined fairways.
Mays Landing Golf Club provides an experience similar to one at a private country club with its excellent service and amenities including a pro shop, restaurant, and PGA instructors on site. On hot days they even have cool towels for you and they always have roaming beverage carts. The course is 6,633 yards at the longest tees, playing to a par of 72.

Neglected
Price was great with cart so I didn’t even bother to check with reviews. The starter was super nice and let us on right away and then it went downhill from there. Fairways were weed ridden and bunkers were overgrown with weeds. It’s such a shame because it’s a fun course, just sadly neglected. What was really annoying is that we were a twosome and we saw groups of five and six people golfing which really affected our pace of play. There was no ranger to prevent this from happening. At the 18th hole, we had to wait because there was a group of 12, yes 12 people on the green. The grill looked nice but was sadly closed so no food or cocktails. The staff which consisted of the cashier, the starter and the cartboy were super nice. Again, such a shame to have what must of been a great course in such disrepair. Maybe in 1962 when Sam Snead played it
Find somewhere else!
Course was a nightmare. Nothing like reviews and pictures.
Conditions were sub par. Barely playable in most areas.
More sand on the fairway then the bunkers.
Dead field mouse on the 16th green.
Torn and ripped flags, could barely shoot them.
Cup maintenance was lacking effort.
Not running water in the course barhrooms.
No snack is or food in the clubhouse at 1:30pm on a Saturday.
Best Parts-
Golf carts- to0 notch- must be rentals! Extremely fast. Great for racing.
Course in poor condition.
This course is in very poor condition. There is no sand in sand traps. Greens are slow and dimpled. Sad to see it in such poor shape.
Golfer’s Paradise
Must play if in AC area. Friendly staff and course in pristine condition. Great value for this hidden gem. Looking forward to next round here.
Needs improvement
Fairways were not in good shape. Also, though there was an aeration notice on Golfnow, when I went to tee off on 1, starter told me front 9 were closed due to aeration, had to play back 9 twice. Not what I expected.
perfect day forgolf
Sorry to say I won't be playing here again unless they clean things up a bit. besides having front 9 shut down for maint.. course was a mess! just not worth it.
Expect very limited frills, have a great time
We got a hot deal on golfnow.com at $29 a player cart included, we were a foursome and I was paying. I’ve seen several recent reviews giviing 2 stars but we said hey if it’s got a Tee box and a green 29bucks, let’s go! Well the Tee’s were not bad but the greens most of them, horrible and they were just aerated. The pictures posted by some of the other reviews are very accurate. There are no rangers, I believe actually there’s only one person working the entire course and that was the cashier. True, they have a small fridge with a couple alcoholic beverages and sport drinks and a rack of chips.
I kept telling myself, for $29 your playing golf!
Beautiful Sunday day
First time playing here. Was very surprised it wasn't packed.. Tree lined, nice greens etc. Will definitely play here again..
Good course architecture. Fairways and rough cry out for improvement.
Wide open fairways
Booked on Golf Now and and assumed we would be playing all 18 holes. When we arrived we were advise that front 9 were being airraded so we had to play back 9 holes twice, disappointing. We should have been advised when booking tee time, or sent prior notice.
