cart path only, certain fairways and greens were mushy, but I think they should have it posted that multiple T boxes are being renovated
Cart path only. If I knew I would of brought a hand cart. Would of walked less.
Overall in good condition despite the time of the year
It was wet in the morning so the chances of teeing off was 50:50 till the last minute, but decided to go ahead. Despite the rain the first hour or so and considering it's December and a lot of courses are starting to close down for the season, this course is in a great shape as always.
Knob Hill has been one of our 'GO TO' courses during winter and will forward to heading back soon. One note is that they're working on fixing the tee boxes on few holes so the course is playing shorter than usual (which is already relatively short as is).
Great Course
It’s the perfect mix between upscale and casual. Very fun round. Always a great time. Well maintained greens and tee’s. It’s challenging but still fun for beginners. Only complaint is the cart girl only came around once at 2pm and then didn’t see her again the rest of the day.
Will you need an Advil for Knob Hill or is it a thrill?
From the opening hole to the closing par 4, the holes at Knob Hill reflect a rich medley of golfing personalities. There are danger holes with casualties and scoring holes with opportunities.
Do you go for a bold layup shot or a bolder approach shot to the virtual island green on the par 5 number 7 hole?
My favorite hole is par 3 number 15 which at 155 yards calls for a smooth 8 iron. The elevated tee box and vehicles passing by behind the green on Route 33 gives it a nice amphitheater effect. There’s also a nice post round effect.
There’s a magnetic attraction that makes you glance at the hole whenever you pass by on Route 33 and replay your best pars and birdies. Now what golfer wouldn’t desire that?
