Enjoyable round but can be costly
Played Knob Hill for the first time with my son. Joined up with another twosome. It had heavily rained the day prior so it was cart path only. Fortunately, the course drains well. The fairways and greens were soft and slow. Pace of play was good; particularly on the back nine.
We cancelled our tee time at another SJ course course to play this course only because we picked up a “Golf Now “hot deal” tee time. This still cost us an additional $20/ea. to play Knob Hill. We would not have played Knob Hill if not for the “hot deal”. Knob Hill tee time costs are regularly overpriced like many other golf courses since the 2020 - 2022 pandemic. As such, we have played LESS golf as we refuse to pay for much higher priced tee times largely because the many people who now work from home and can play golf during the early parts of the day are very willing to pay the elevated tee time costs.
Overall, the course is enjoyable, good conditions, but costly. You decide.
between rain days
somewhat wet conditions but a good playing day.
interesting fun course
Knob Hill
Play this course a few times a year this time is the best I’ve seen it in years Fairways and Greens are great
G
Fresh of airation putting was a bit off and the fairway grass was 2 club up long. Other than a little grooming this course is mint with a solid layout. I was hoping to experience the restaurant but it was closed. Maybe next time. The golf carts with live scoring and streaming music is a nice
Perk. I’ll be back in 2 weeks.
Greens aerated
The course is a great course ,however greens were aerated, making it a nightmare to putt. There was no advance notice of the conditions of the greens!
Aerated Greens
The greens were recently aerated,I was never notified of these conditions. This made for a ridiculous day of putting!
Great restaurant after round...very nice course...gps on cart is nice and accurate
Loved This Course!
It reminded me of Myrtle Beach courses! It was in really good shape and the weather was outstanding!
great course/helpful starter
the young starter let us play as a 2 some when it was busy because my cousin is new to golf and wanted to help him. we appreciate that.. also we both loved the gps in the golf carts.. only course i know that provides that.. and great layout
