Awful course condition
Bare spots, hard as a rock fairway
Day out with my daughter
What a great day to spend with my daughter. She just took up the game so it was challenging enough for her starting out. It was very slow play though. Some groups should allow others to play through.
for the very beginner
ONLY 2 FIVE HOLES, 4 FOUR HOLES IN 18 HOLES.
Nice day to get out
Just a nice local place to play for experienced and novices alike.
Short but sweet
Course is short but in good shape. Tee area is a bit choppy but fairways are nice and the greens are smooth but slow. Nice guy at the counter.
Can't beat value
Played here because it was $20 for two including cart rental for 18 holes. We were here early afternoon on a weekday and had the course to ourselves for the most part. Weather was sunny and hot but the course provided a decent amount of shade. The rough around the course could all use a trim, but fairways were decent and greens were in excellent condition. Grounds crew held us up on a few holes while filling in gravel which was a bit annoying. About half of the holes are short par 3 (less than 120 yards). If you want to practice short game this is the place, but if you like to be able to drive on most holes go elsewhere.
Short but challenging
Although short, this course has many challenging holes and is great for fine tuning your game. Overall, it is a very good test for improving your golf game. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and the course is highly recommended.
Good value, green not well kept
Bunkers became small lakes after a week of rains. Greens with a lot of leaves.
Small and easy Course for Beginners like me
Nice, easy and a small 62 Par course, Me and my buddies are beginners and loved this Course and wold love to visit it a few times this season, Pace was easy and we were able to improve as game progressed.
it's a par 3 course
Basically a par 3 course. good is that is all you want to practice. many holes are 80 yds or less.
Short course can play in 3 - 3 1/2 hrs
Par 62, so you could play in 3 hours. In good shape...could do a better job clearing the banks of the water hazards. There is drinking water on a few holes.
I got behind a foursome....they could be the teaching video on "slow play". One example, all 4 balls on the green, 3 players standing by their balls while the guy who was "away" was moving his cart. OMG, don't be rude and putt...instead, we'll all wait for him.
After catching them on 3 tees, and suggesting I be able to play through, I jumped them. Then I got dirty looks and comments that I distracted one guy's chip shot as I teed off on the next hole.
Is it really that hard to just hit your ball...roll up to it...then hit it again. Can't believe how much you guys stood around waiting for each other.
OK...I vented. Had nothing to do with the course.
It's great to play 18 holes in under 3-1/2 hours.
Suggest a few well placed vending machines, possibly at the turn.
Staff was great.
I'll be back.
18 hole pitch and putt
Great course for your short game, tight fairways, and greens in very good condition. Pace of play good.
Bring bug spray gnats on most green and tee boxes
Don't waste your time.
Only way I would suggest playing this course is if you are a beginner.
It's ok, needs a haircut
This course was a bit soggy and in need of a trim!! We played midweek and nobody was around so it was quick but I've seen better conditions and the course plays VERY short so this is good for a beginner working on their irons but for the distance we drove to get there, there's more value between NYC and stony.
average
It was a short course if u have a good wedge game u will enjoy this course.
Fun little course
If you like long holes and chances to use your driver, this isn't your course. But if you like tight holes and using your irons it's good. A lot of beginners out there so it can be a waiting around type of round, but it is a great place to practice your iron play and short game.
Fun and Affordable Course
Played with a friend who is still learning the ins and outs of the game. This is the perfect course for that. Not very crowded and the other players we encountered were very laid back. We rode, but only because the cart was complimentary from our GolfNow reservation. Course is challenging enough for mid handicappers because it is very tight so good ball striking is a must. Low-scratch players might find the course a bit short, but honetly is so quiet and relaxing I can't see anyone having a bad time here.
Better Executive Courses Then This One
The only two things positive about this course are: 1) Greens were in decent shape (although very small) and 2) it is a confidence builder for the most part. Beyond that, I felt like it was a pitch and putt with a couple of longer holes thrown in. I have played executive (par in the low 60s) in Monmouth County and those are much better. They are just as cheap if not cheaper.
great to hone short game skills
It's a cute little course. Great to work on short game. I like this course. It's not pristine but it's quaint. Great place to learn to play or work on skills. I will play this course over and over and enjoy it every time. But accept it's a little course that can be a little run down. Enjoy it for the skills it teaches you, the opportunities it gives you to birdie or par and we got to see her on and deer right on the course. This I thought was beautiful. Others may not agree. Like I said if you accept the course for what it is you will enjoy your round a great deal.
