If you are looking to sharpen your game, this is the place. The new management has really improved on an already tough course, even tho it's a short course. Greens have been greatly improved, rough is not unlike a US Open set up and boy do you need to hit your irons crisp or risk a real embarrassing number on your card.
Stony was worth the money before the management change- a great test of skill accomplished under 3 hours- and now is an even better value!!
Additionally, the staff are all great!!
Once the cart paths are redone, and the marshalls get out to moderate the pace of play(such a great value can get pretty crowded and has been experiencing some slow play- I blame most of the current lack of traditional gof courtesy on the Tiger Woods impact-total classlessness). It is for that reason ONLY that I did not give it a perfect rating.
