Colts Neck Golf Club
About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

CNGC
For a semi private course, it is mediocre. The greens are in really poor condition, and given the fact that it is semi private, they should not have rules where members can only buy certain things off the golf cart, girl, great way to inspire membership.
That said, we continue to play it because it is close to home, but not a great value for the money. You can play KNob Hill for way less and it’s a beautiful course or even Lakewood country club, which is well-maintained. We play a lot of golf, and it would be enjoyable if they actually kept this course up. The 12th hole is terrible
Not in great shape for a “Best in NJ” course
The course wasn’t in great shape. Greens were rough. Most annoyingly, the staff is unclear about the course’s rules and regulations. We were told there would be a cart girl, which there was, but when she came around she said you can’t buy alcohol if you’re not a member. That is completely fine but a staff member had earlier told us we’d be able to get a drink on the course if we were in the mood for one. The rule is a little silly but even sillier is the staff not knowing or communicating this. Also on the communication front, the scorecard depicts hole 12 as a par 4 when it’s a par 3. It seems like management has gotten a tad lazy, resting on its laurels.
Idk what’s happening
This course used to be great, it has recently seen a serious decline in conditions. Please fix your pitch marks and fill divots people.
Would play again
Nice course, well kept. Has driving range. Good pace of play. Would play again
Not the old Colts neck
Course was in need of upgrading. Greens were burned and poorly maintained. Tea boxes as well had overgrowth. Overall condition of the course was not conducive for a private club. All of the local county courses a far superior to this course. It is a real shame how much discourse has deteriorated
Over price
If they charge full price for the weekend, as a player and fan of the place , I was disappointed for the conditions of the greens and having one hole partially close, non of this where posted anywhere on the website
Good course, but not great value.
The course is a decent setup - shorter but tricky fast greens. Everything but the greens were well maintained. There is a decent amount of overlap with holes feeling on top of other holes. Two different greens share the same greenside bunker which is asking for someone to get hurt. I would play here again but not for the price and being a non member gives no food or drink amenities but that’s not as much their fault. Probably will go back for the range only.
Course was in excellent condition. Layout was a little confusing. They should more clearly, and boldly indicate hole locations. Staff was incredible. Gorgeous course. Very happy to play here again
Colts neck cc
Played here many times. Every time the members cut holes to get out of backed up holes which delays the flow of the game. The staff does nothing about it.
Conditions have improved
Conditions were much better than when i played last June.
The course is mediocre and not at the level of the monmouth county courses.
But the golfnow hotdeal and reward savings made it a reasonable value for a change of pace. Certainly not worth the $80 to $100 they want in the summer.
Impressive
Interesting layout. Fair test. First timer If your driver is working (mine wasn’t) one can get around pretty well.
Greens were in good condition for Nov. Fair ways were good so were . Bunker remediation was in process.
Definitely a replay.
Confusing layout for a first time player
Course was great and greens were excellent.
Better signage is needed to point to next holes.
