Fun day
Enjoyed a good round at Valleybrook. Thunderstormed after finishing up the front 9 and the staff allowed us to grab some lunch at the bar inside before starting the back 9. Not much of a crowd, partially due to the weather I'm sure. Would love to go back as long as the hot deals keep rolling!
Being a Jaworski course I was skeptical, but Valleybrook was much nicer than I expected. It's not very long but they make up for it with some tight fairways and interesting layout. Typical of his courses the areas outside the fairways can be sketchy, but fairways and greens were in great shape. Tee boxes were just ok and the grass on them was a little long. For what we paid, it was a great value and good day on the course.
Burned at the turn.
Loved the course and its condition. Two of us had a 0630 tee time to get done early. Got to the 10th tee box and two foursomes where put in front of us in a scramble covering the entire back nine. Complained about it and was told we got through the front too fast and would still still get done in 4 hours. Not.
Nice but short
Good value for Money but really short. Back to back par 4’s that you can hit 7iron / wedge and par 5’s all under 500 yards.
Beautiful..just beautiful
Very well kept, not too challenging on the front 9 but the back 9 starts to test your skill. Will definitely be going back!
nice play
Greens a little slower than three weeks ago. Mower up to protect during a heat wave?
really nice people
Enough said, but since its a review its in good shape and you could do a lot worst, enjoy. I'll back soon.
Course and greens
The course is on the short side, and no real wow factors! Greens were just irritated and in bad shape. Way to crowded for me , waiting on every hole. I don’t think I will be playing there any time soon sorry!
Airation alert
I understand it needs to be done, I just wish courses would tell people. The deal was worth it, just frustrated. The course was in ok shape. Also, most of the white tee were moved up, a lot. especially the 18th. 408 from the whites on the card, 340 on the course.
Early season conditions
Most of the holes are strait away in a what you see is what you get style with only a few dog legs and hazards mixed in. An area in the middle was like a "shooting gallery" with parallel fairways running back and forth for about five holes. I think this helped to slow down play waiting for miss shaped shots to be played by golfers from the other holes. The fairways were mostly in good shape but the rough had may bald places. The greens were nicely grassed but slow and bumpy. We played 18 in about 4 hours and 45 minutes. Not terrible for the first warm day in months.
Not worth it
The condition of the course now is bad. It is only worth a good hot deal. Unless it gets better, I would not reccomend.
I have played this course in the past, usually have an issue booking on their site, Golf Now made it easy. Being that it's March the course was in decent condition, really cannot complain. The pace of play could have been better, had a foursome in front of us that clearly were not educated on the etiquette of golf. Still overall an enjoyable round. The staff is friendly, course in good condition for the time of year, spent the day golfing instead of at work, who can complain.
