Given its late December, the course is in great shape (bunkers were a bit muddy, but again it’s December). Not many people out, and the golf staff let us play the back 9 first to avoid any slowdown. I like the layout of the course and it’s very reasonably priced.
Nice layout! Tee boxes need work!
Overall layout was challenging! Needs rangers to speed up slow play! Greens were decent for this time of year! Level off tee boxes
Good Place to Play
The course was in good shape including the tee boxes, a little unexpected so late in the season. I've played here many times and is greatly improved from 5 years ago. Greens were fast but true - I was very impressed. What keeps this from being a great place is the lack of any amenities--no cart drinks person (not even a few water coolers on the course) on a packed Saturday, no ready food at the turn.
My 3 sons
I grew up playing Beaver Brook, can always get a tee time so that is why we played this week. The course was in good condition except for the leaves. The real problem was the pace of play. For a Saturday you need to have a ranger telling folks who are out of position, no matter the time, to pick it up. We played in 4 hours 35 minutes, starting at 12 noon. The two groups we were behind had at least 3 holes between them. Then they all waiting on the final green to chat! Understand it is a Saturday.
Challenging Course
Not many amenities, no food options. Course is a bit challenging and the greens were a bit hilly and fast. Some tough pin placements today!
Great experience
This isn't the absolute best course in the world, but it is solid. I love to play fast and we got lucky on a Friday at 12:40 PM. Pace of play was about 3 hours which is fantastic. My friend and I played the tips (listed at 6355) and it was manageable even though I am not a very long hitter. Very hilly course, a couple holes are tricky with the doglegs and contours (especially #13) - but if you play here a couple times it would be easier. Course was in very good shape, greens were good and rolled well. Bunkers had nice sand, but needed a little clean up. The staff was great, the 19th hole was nice enough. Probably normally a 4* course, but the nice weather and pace of play made my experience 5*****. So thank you Beaver Brook.
5-Hour Round
Beware you may get stuck playing a 5 hour round. I read reviews that mentioned bad pace of play at this course.
Yes I understand golf after the pandemic is taking closer to 4:30 opposed to 4 hours due to more people learning the game.
When we called in to the pro shop after 2:20 on 9th tee box. The starter told us to kick rocks and it’s expected to play slow.
We had 6 groups waiting behind us. The group causing the issue (directly ahead of us) had no one in front of them all day.
The issue is both with golfers not being capable of holding pace, and the course having no care about pace. 0 rangers out all day.
For $80 this course is NOT worth it with the risk of getting stuck waiting 10 minutes between each shot.
Play it!
Great value. This course is in great shape and nice layout. Green speed was great and plenty of grass o. The tees and greens. Fun enjoyable day of golf
Grounds need work
The clubhouse staff were friendly, but the ground staff was an issue. Some of the tee boxes had no white tees out at all. There were just empty tee boxes after the black tees. Also, one of the ground staff was using a weed whacker on the 8th tee and wouldn’t pause while people were teeing off. He was literally next to the tee box.
Course conditions were fine overall. Weekday play was better than weekends.
Beautiful day
Played Sunday, labor day weekend. Very hot Day. Afternoon tee time. Course was not crowded at all. Some beautiful holes. Many with elevation changes. I would not walk this course. Starts and ends with two par 5s. I would definately play there again.
Great!
I have played here several times. Never disappoints.
Good for all levels. Some holes have blind spots so make sure you have someone look ahead.
Great Value
Course was in good shape. Greens were a bit slow for my preference but rolled true. Staff is great. Great value!
Course is in great condition
Picked a great day to play golf. Good value, fairways and greens in excellent condition.
Just OK
Played here a bunch of times just seems like it used to be a lot better. Desperately in need of some TLC from the maintenance guys. Tees need work. Greens are OK but you could tell they’re not spending any money there anymore. Too bad. Clubhouse could be beautiful but who knows what’s going on.
